Third annual Silicon Beach Fest highlights growing tech culture in Los Angeles and trends in digital innovation.
Digital LA once again converts Santa Monica and Venice into a technology startup and innovation playground with panels, parties and keynotes scheduled June 18-22, all part of the third annual Silicon Beach Fest 2014. #SBF is hosted at coworking space Cross Campus in Santa Monica and celebrates LA’s unique startup entertainment and tech community.
Silicon Beach Fest is the kind of tech startup event where speakers such as L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, Partners of L.A.’s largest venture capital firms, and executives from Hollywood studios shake hands and hear pitches from tech entrepreneurs while drinking coconut water, meeting developers, and mingling with inventors in the trenches of L.A.’s growing innovation communities.
Panels this year highlight the growing representation of women in technology at the startup and venture capital level, social media, and e-commerce trends, crowdfunding strategies, and other topics which fall under the growing umbrella of the “internet of everything.”
L.A.’s emerging status as a viable alternative to Silicon Valley and New York for technology startups will also be a topic of discussion. Not only do entertainment and fashion merchandise startups fit well in the L.A. market, but so do enterprise technology plays in mHealth, e-commerce, and even small business management.
Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, M.D., visionary surgeon and CEO of transformational healthcare information technology company NANTHEALTH will provide the opening keynote address at Silicon Beach Feast on Thursday June 19 at Cross Campus.
L.A. Tech & Media Law Firm is a sponsor at this year’s Silicon Beach Fest, with representatives at Cross Campus June 19 and 20 excited to meet today’s leading minds in technology innovation. This is the firm’s second sponsorship of Silicon Beach Fest.
